Veracity Engineering is a leading provider of Air Traffic Control (ATC) communications systems design, implementation, and integration. As the prime contractor for the FAA Enterprise Communications Support Services (ECSS) contract, Veracity Engineering supports the implementation of multiple communication infrastructure programs. Three of these programs – Data Communications (DataComm), System Wide Information Management (SWIM), and NAS Voice System (NVS) – are designated as “NextGen-enabling” programs because of their fundamental role in supporting the transformation of the National Airspace System (NAS) to the Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen). Whether on the ground or in the air, Veracity Engineering provides communications engineering that optimizes system architecture, enhances information security, and maximizes data throughput. Airport Surface Surveillance
Veracity Engineering’s system engineers and project managers are highly experienced in airport surface surveillance technologies, including systems based on primary surveillance sensors (non-cooperative) and transponder-equipped targets responding to interrogations (cooperative). Veracity Engineering supported the FAA’s surface surveillance test bed in evaluating technologies and developing the proof of concept for baseline production systems. Our engineers and project managers understand the complexities of implementing surface surveillance systems at airports, conducting site surveys, managing site engineering work, and coordinating with stakeholders while minimizing disruptions of ongoing operations. Veracity Engineering is able to leverage our institutional knowledge in airport surface surveillance to implement technologies that will increase safety and efficiency for airspace and airport operators.

Veracity Engineering’s system engineers and technology specialists possess extensive experience in the design and development of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) for Flight Data Processing, Terminal Data Distribution, Enterprise Service Management, and Identity and Access Management within the FAA. These services are provided at a number of aviation laboratories including those located within the William J. Hughes Technical Center (WJHTC) as well as the Florida NextGen Test Bed.
Veracity Engineering is one of the Federal Aviation Administration’s primary suppliers of Information Technology Asset Management. With IT assets at over 880 locations nationwide and an inventory that includes over 40,000 desktops, 1,500 servers, and 10,000 printers and copiers, the FAA turns to Veracity Engineering to provide technical, logistics, and acquisition support for the management, purchase, deployment, tracking, maintenance and replacement of hardware, software, and consumables. Veracity Engineering also provides all material management for the FAA’s Next Generation air-ground communications program.
