Veracity Engineering has an exciting opportunity for an analytical, driven, detail-oriented, and experienced Data Analyst for our client, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). We require a meticulously organized individual to support data informed decision making. The candidate will be required to develop and maintain cloud-based data repositories and to be able to clearly communicate progress, actions, and schedules with the data stakeholders (clients and data teams). This position is in the Veracity headquarters in the heart of Washington, DC.
What you will be working on
- Lead and conduct periodic data refresh activities which includes outreach to various FAA directorates; research from external sources; compilation, organization, and quality control of the data; data upload to FAA cloud-based repositories for the data to be available Agency-wide.
- Conduct evaluations, analyses, and studies of the data to make data-informed conclusions.
- Act as the main data point of contact for the client and conduct regular client meetings.
- Coordinate, facilitate, and participate (as the data expert) in various meetings and capture/submit meeting minutes and track action items of each discussion
- Provide ad hoc support across other projects
Must Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
- *Please note: A Master’s Degree may be substituted for Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience. Or a PhD may be substituted for Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of experience.
- High proficiency in Excel (macros, formulas, pivot tables, etc.).
- Experience in updating VBA code in Excel.
- High proficiency in Tableau and/or other cloud-based repositories.
- A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience.
- Strong data analysis and visualization experience.
- Ability to lead meetings and facilitate data-informed group decision making.
- Ability to effectively communicate and present concepts and proposed solutions.
Not Must Haves but Highly Desirable
- Aviation industry experience.
