Veracity Engineering has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Specialist to join our engineering programing support of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. The specialist will provide authoritative leadership and technical advice to other members of the team.
What you will get to do
- Participate and lead technical interchange meetings.
- Conduct or participate in formal and informal reviews at predetermined points throughout the development life cycle.
- Provide technical guidance and participation in Process Improvement.
- Knowledge of test equipment including oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, logic analyzer
- Troubleshoot, analyze and determine operational issues and recommend solutions.
- Design, develop, and test modern solutions to incorporate into existing systems and equipment.
- Generate installation and test procedures for system modification and verification.
- Perform all aspects of system verification, including all phases of the testing process.
- Develop and execute test plan and procedures in an operational environment.
- Direct and coordinate with outside vendors to manufacture prototypes and production units including development of Manufacturing Specifications.
- Research new technologies that would be integrated in the ASR-9.
- Providing 2nd level engineering support to ASR-9 modifications installed in the field to include onsite or over the phone.
- Provide 2nd level maintenance and engineering for data management as well as for operational subsystems of the ASR-9.
- Travel throughout the country to different ASR-9 Radar sites to support local technicians in maintaining and modifying equipment. In this position, travel is not a priority however availability with a short notice to do so, is required.
What you will bring to the position
- High School Diploma or GED required and ten (10) years of related experience including at least five (5) years of NAS experience. Demonstrated expertise at Technical Specialist 4 level. An Associate’s Degree in a related field will be accepted in lieu of two (2) years of experience. A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field will be accepted in lieu of four (4) years of experience.
- Proficiency in analysis of existing Requirements, Testing and Compliance Procedures/Documents.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
